The electric scooter made by Ola Electric has succeeded in attracting the interest of a number of people in India. But recently, Ola is reportedly going to temporarily stop the production of electric scooters for the standard type.
Ola previously launched the Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters last year. With low prices and carrying advanced technology, many people are interested in buying it.
Since mid-December 2021, the Indian startup company has officially delivered its electric scooters to consumers. Even though it has been sent, Ola continues to boost the production of its electric scooters in order to achieve production targets.
Even though it is selling well, the latest news says that Ola will temporarily stop production of the S1. The postponement of the electric scooter assembly will last until the end of 2022.
Reporting from Ride Apart, Ola will focus on the production of the S1 Pro electric scooter at its factory throughout 2022. This is because many consumers prefer the highest type over the standard version.
Although both are equipped with batteries, the two electric scooters have different specifications. The Ola S1 can go up to a speed of 90 km per hour, while the S1 Pro version reaches 115 km per hour. It also affects the distance traveled on a single charge, the Ola S1 can cover a distance of up to 121 km while the S1 Pro reaches 181 km.
The features embedded in the Ola S1 Pro are also more complete, the electric scooter carries Hill Hold technology, Cruise Control, to Voice Assistant. While these three features are not present on the standard Ola S1. Regarding accommodation, both have 36 liters of storage space under the seat.
Of course, consumers who switch from the Ola S1 version to the S1 Pro will have to pay a fee of up to 30,000 rupees or the equivalent of US $ 250 dollars. Unfortunately, many consumers say that this method is seen as imposing their will to reap more profits for Ola.
