Now, Hyundai ioniq 5 battery capable of cruising 500 km.

Hyundai is reportedly making a number of updates to its flagship electric car, the Ioniq 5. One of them is an increase in battery capacity so the car can travel longer distances.

Quoted from Carscoops, Hyundai is preparing to present the Ioniq 5 with an increased battery capacity. In fact, the electric car has just been released by Hyundai less than a year.

Reportedly, the latest Ioniq 5 will integrate two additional battery modules into 32 modules of which each has a power of 2.4. For comparison, the Ioniq 5 currently has 30 modules in its battery. The upgrade will be able to increase the car's battery capacity from 72.6 kWh to 77.4 kWh.

Of course, the enlarged car battery capacity makes the Ioniq 5's mileage increase. Initially, the EV car was able to cover a distance of 423 km, now the Ioniq 5 is rumored to be able to reach a distance of 480 to 490 km on a single battery charge.

Not only battery capacity, this South Korean automotive manufacturer also updates its software through Over the Air (OTA). This update will improve the car's performance when in use, as well as provide more important information that can be connected via a smartphone.

Hyundai is using the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) to build electric cars. One product that has been built on E-GMP is the Hyundai Ioniq 5.

The E-GMP platform was created by the Hyundai Motor Group to carry 23 new electric vehicle models until 2025. From this platform, it is targeted to produce 1 million electric vehicles.
