Who need driver? Volvo shows off an electric truck and no driver.

Volvo already has a big name in the commercial vehicle industry. Now they are again showing their superiority by introducing a prototype of a future truck that will be equipped with electricity and autonomous aliases that can drive themselves.

Quoted by motortrend, talking about transportation in the future will certainly never be separated from two words, namely electricity and autonomous, this also applies to commercial vehicles. Everything is done to be able to really realize efficiency in activities, apart from talking about driving safety, infrastructure, costs and vehicle feasibility.

Now Volvo Autonomous Solutions in collaboration with a company called Aurora introduces a prototype electric and autonomous truck. This truck is built from one of Volvo's flagship trucks, the VNL Model (VNL 760).

The VNL Model is one of the trucks that has the most modern technology and safety factors. These include Volvo Dynamic Steering (VDS) and Automated transmission (I-Shift) which are mated to Aurora Driver Technology.

However, it is not clear yet how tough this truck will run, but Volvo and Aurora have shown their autonomous trucks, and are still looking for a formula to meet the needs of drivers. However, the journey of the Volvo autonomous truck is still considered long because various preparations must be made to make it happen.
