Yamaha Launches Rough Road Tricity Concept Motorcycle, Suitable for Natural Disaster Evacuation

Two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha has launched a concept motorcycle called Rough Road Tricity. Later, this motorbike will be assigned when natural disasters occur and hit various heavy fields.

Quoted from Ride Apart, this concept motorcycle is basically Yamaha's Tricity three-wheeled scooter. However, this concept version is claimed to be able to drive on steep and difficult off-road terrain.

Yamaha brought a number of changes to the Tricity version of the Survival version, such as the use of tires and livery that carried the disaster evacuation team. This method is used by Yamaha to describe a motorcycle that is tough when facing various natural disaster conditions such as landslides, floods, and earthquakes.

In terms of tires, the Tricity Rough Road motorcycle comes with a choice of offroad tires. The use of this type of tire serves to provide convenience for the evacuation team when they have to pass through steep roads and moderately heavy terrain.

In addition, there are also a number of other supporting components, ranging from LED bars, hand guards, and sirens which are placed on the side of the motorcycle. While on the back is also equipped with a box and basket panniers on the side to put a number of items.

In order for the motorcycle to remain strong in various terrains, Rough Road Tricity features a number of protections such as a skid plate at the bottom and headlight protectors. There is also a metal guard around the side fairing of the motorcycle to anticipate the rider from hitting objects.

About the specifications, Yamaha has not explained in more detail the engine that is carried on this Rough Road Tricity concept. However, it is predicted that the motorcycle will be based on a 125 cc or 155 cc model.

This motorcycle made its first appearance at the Natural Disaster Prevention Trade Fair which was held in Tokyo some time ago. Unfortunately, the Japanese automotive manufacturer has not revealed when this offroad version of the Tricity will be produced in general.
